Color Inspiration with the Pantone Palette

It’s that time of year again–when color announcements start rolling in. We love to see what’s new in fashion and design, as the trending style statements influence the interior design realm. New York Fashion Week kicked off some major color inspiration, as Pantone revealed the upcoming palette for 2026. It’s sophisticated and romantic, brimming over with emotional intensity.

The Palette

Laurie Pressman, of the Pantone Color Institute, claims the colors chosen offer an opportunity to find…

“Freedom to redefine color usage, this season’s palette contrasts warm familiar shades with more vibrant, stimulating colors and foundational tones.”

It’s a different range of colors, heavy in the reds, pinks and purples, with less focus on traditional blues, greens and yellows. The evolution of color is an exciting journey of discovering what’s possible.

The Classic Neutrals

Along with the color palette, comes a selection of classic shades, sometimes known as the neutral palette. And while there are foundational neutrals, Pantone often includes statement colors here as well.

This Year’s Color Inspiration

We always say that the best inspiration for design comes from the outdoors. This year’s selections are no exception. The ethereal vision of this landscape easily showcases this year’s classic palette. The colors are soft and subdued, but offer dimension and layering–an ideal way to pair colors. Let’s explore how this year’s color inspiration is being used in home design.

Dining in Style

An exquisite space, this dining room offers bold design with black built-ins and the contrasting neutrals of geometric area rug. But the personality of the space comes from the background color accents. Featuring a play on primary colors, the reds, blues and yellows stand out, followed  by greens–all found within the artwork on display in the middle. If this year’s palette encourages self-expression, this dining room absolutely nails it. What better room to surround yourself and guests with unique design and talking points than the dining room?

Statement-Making Kitchen

The white kitchen will never go out of style. It’s clean, fresh and bright. But the accents? There’s a lot to be said for making a statement with color in the kitchen. This year’s Alexandrite is vibrant and enchanting–a beautiful way to put “wow” into a space.

A Living Room to Sweep You Off Your Feet

There’s something romantic about this year’s color inspiration. We *think* it could be due to half of the palette itself featuring passionate hues. Red, pinks and purples have taken the lead this year. Why not bring them into your home? Imagine settling in for the evening in this space. What would be at the top of your list for living room design?

A Bedroom Full of Sweet Dreams

Create a sanctuary in your primary bedroom by using color inspiration to highlight and accent. The foundation of this space features a neutral gray, a gorgeous backdrop for the dusty rose of the upholstery and pillows. Fall asleep at night completely relaxed and comfortable, surrounded by dreamy bedroom design.

A Fresh Take on Bathroom Design

One thing we love about styling bathrooms is they can have their own design moment without taking over the home. If you love a surprising splash of color or the mesmerizing shape of geometrics, take this opportunity to make the design your own. Each morning, as you step into your bathroom, you will instantly be transported.
