Banded Shades Details
- Dynamic Shade Patterns
- Options for Sheer Views Or Total Privacy
- Great Coverage for Wide Windows
- Two Fabric Layers to Rotate
Often referred to as Zebra Blinds, Designer Banded Shades offer two layers of fabric that rotate to change sheer views to complete privacy, all in one roller shade system. The way banded shades differ from other zebra blinds is the shape options you can choose from. The clean lines of typical zebra blinds is one option. Banded shades also offer geometric patterns of solid and sheer designs within the fabric layers. That means, you can personalize the look for your windows to create a custom look to enhance the decor of your home. Hunter Douglas banded shades offer the look of a feature wall when added to your largest windows.
What Are Zebra Shades?
Two layers of fabric make up the Banded Shades collection. Traditional zebra shades feature striped designs, alternating solid and sheer fabrics. When rotated, these fabrics can shift the positioning of the stripes, with view-through and entering light in one position, while the other position closes off the view and the light. Today’s window shades have added patterned geometric shapes to the collection for a unique way to cover your windows. Banded shades are a type of roller shade–rolling completely up, into the headrail, disappearing from view.
Geometric Patterns or Stripes?
With banded shades, you can customize your windows to look like artistic accents. Striped patterning features clean lines and a balanced amount of light and views entering. With geometric patterns of curves or angles, you invite a more personalized look, but the view-through is limited. Light enters through sheer fabric sections for a glowing atmosphere with all varieties of Hunter Douglas banded shades.
