What is the Track Glide System?
The newest operating system from Hunter Douglas, Track Glide is a track system that adheres to the frame of the window to allow you to put window shades where it’s never been possible!
Wait, it adheres?
Yep. The track system adheres to your window–as close to the glass without actually being on the glass. This makes it perfect for spots in your home where window treatments were previously not possible.
How does it work?
Good question. The top and the bottom of the shades attach into the track, allowing the adjustments to occur smoothly–up and down. Adjustments are made using the cordless shades operating system, Hunter Douglas’ LiteRise. It’s a smooth, manual up and down of these shades.
What are turn-tilt windows?
Very popular in Europe, they are becoming the newest design option here for windows. Similar to the look of french doors, the windows can open just like a door when the handle is adjusted one way. Then, when closed, adjust the handle the other direction, and the windows can tilt in.
They are an exciting option in windows, but before track glide, you didn’t have much choice beyond curtains, that only were of use when everything was closed up.
Which products are available with this operating system?
Right now, the track glide system is only available with the Duette shades collection. But, with the wide range of colors, textures and features of Duettes, you’ll have no problem customizing your space!
