At Skyline Window Coverings, community involvement is an important part of who we are. We believe businesses have the opportunity to make a positive impact beyond the work they do every day, which is why we were proud to support Tails Together, a new animal rescue dedicated to helping animals find loving homes. Tails Together is a Chicago and North Shore animal welfare organization focused on connecting animals, rescue groups, and communities through compassionate care, collaboration, and accessible education. Their mission centers on expanding lifesaving efforts for animals while creating inclusive, judgment-free opportunities for people to get involved in animal welfare and adoption. Through rescue partnerships, community outreach, and a thoughtful matchmaking adoption process, Tails Together works to strengthen the bond between people and pets while helping more animals find loving homes.
By donating custom window shades for the rescue’s front cat rooms, our team was able to contribute to a space designed to keep animals safe, comfortable, and cared for while they wait for adoption.
Supporting Comfort and Privacy for Rescue Cats
The front cat rooms at Tails Together feature large street-facing windows that bring in plenty of natural light. While bright, open spaces create a welcoming environment, the rescue also needed a solution that would provide privacy and light control for the cats throughout the day and overnight.
Our designer, Jennefier, worked closely with the rescue to select shades that balanced functionality and comfort. The new shades allow staff to easily adjust sunlight levels while helping create a calmer environment for the animals.
Thoughtful window treatments can make a meaningful difference in spaces like these by helping reduce overstimulation while still maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors and potential adopters.
