Supporting Homebuilding with Habitat for Humanity
In 2019, Skyline Window Coverings partnered with Habitat for Humanity. We supported their mission of building safe, affordable housing for families in need. This experience was especially meaningful for our team, as it aligns closely with what we do every day, which is to help create spaces that feel like home.
We’re grateful to have worked alongside dedicated volunteers and leaders, including Skyline Window Coverings owner, Chrissy Roellchen, whose passion for community impact helped make the initiative a success. Opportunities like this remind us how powerful it can be when businesses and individuals come together for a shared purpose.
Finding Homes for Pets with PAWS Chicago
Another cause close to our hearts is animal welfare. Skyline Window Coverings proudly participated in the Angels with Tails Adoption Event in Winnetka, hosted by PAWS Chicago. This incredible event brings together local rescue groups and shelters, transforming the streets into a lively showcase of adoptable pets. From playful puppies to loving senior cats, the event raises awareness and connects animals with families ready to give them a forever home. We’re thrilled that 17 animals found loving homes at the event, showing how our community involvement directly changes lives. For over 26 years, PAWS Chicago has been a leader in lifesaving efforts, helping more than 80,000 dogs and cats find homes since launching the Angels with Tails events in 1997. We’re honored to play even a small part in supporting their mission.
Protecting Our Environment with Friends of the Chicago River
In May 2022, our team rolled up our sleeves to support environmental conservation efforts with Friends of the Chicago River. We spent the day at the Rockwell Boat Dock participating in a river cleanup, which involved removing trash and clearing invasive plant species to help restore the natural ecosystem. It was a hands-on way to contribute to the health and beauty of one of Chicago’s most important natural resources. Caring for our environment is essential to maintaining vibrant communities. We’re proud to support initiatives that make a lasting difference.
