Skyline Window Coverings recently partnered with Whitney Reynolds, host of The Whitney Reynolds Show, to bring her vision of stylish and functional window treatments to life. Discover how our team helped enhance the comfort and design of her beautiful Chicago home.
Privacy Meets Function.
The primary goal in designing Whitney’s home was to find window treatment solutions that not only provide enhanced privacy, but also offer ease of use through simple functionality. A key consideration throughout the process was eliminating the need for traditional cords, allowing for a clean, modern aesthetic that contributed to the overall sleek and clutter-free design of the space.
Living Room.
Whitney wanted her living space to feel bright and open while still having the option for privacy when needed. Her goal was to let in natural light during the day but also create a cozy, secluded atmosphere when desired. To achieve this balance, she teamed up with her designer, Jennefier, to explore different window treatments. After considering several options, they chose Silhouette shades, which offer soft light control and elegant privacy. The shades also complemented the overall style of the room with their clean, modern look.
Kitchen, Breakfast Nook, and Den.
In these spaces, Whitney was looking for a solution that offered ease and convenience. PowerView motorization turned out to be the perfect fit, giving her the ability to adjust the shades effortlessly with a remote or her smartphone. Her go-to setting is 75% open, which offers an ideal balance of letting in natural light, a view of the outdoors, and showcasing the beautiful fabric she chose for her shades.
