A new location in upstate New York finds its way into the Skyline family.
The History of Blinds360
In June of 1958, Handy Andy Paint and Flooring opened its doors in downtown White Plains at 73 Main Street. From then on, Handy Andy became the Tri-state leader in paint, tile, and flooring during the popular “do-it-yourself” craze of the 1950s.

The business started focusing on custom window treatments in 1965 and quickly became one of the largest full-service window treatment providers in Westchester County. In the early days, window treatments were a small part of the business, but in the late 1970s, an opportunity to secure a niche market was discovered.
Founder Gilbert Weinberger handed down the business to twin sons, Alan and Richard in 1977. Affectionately known as ‘the blinds brothers,’ they continued the legacy of high-touch client services and enduring product quality. With over 50,000 installations, the brothers say they have worked on just about every street in Westchester County. “If we haven’t done your neighbors’ windows, then we probably have done their neighbors’ windows,” Richard has been known to say.
In early 2000, the company moved to a 5,000 sq. foot showroom and warehouse as the business continued to grow. With the focus shifting to only high-quality window treatments, the name “Handy Andy” was dropped, and it became “Blinds360” in 2013.

Skyline Acquires Blinds360
In the fall of 2025, Jason and Chrissy Roellchen, founders of Skyline Window Coverings, began the process of acquiring Blinds360. With a flagship store already cemented in downtown New York City, it made sense to expand their reach to serve clients in surrounding areas such as Connecticut and New Jersey.

In January of 2026, the White Plains location at 65 Tarrytown Road officially became a location of the Skyline brand. The showroom continues to operate with the same trusted team while embracing Skyline’s standards for service and enduring Hunter Douglas products.
Skyline Window Coverings continues to be the largest independently owned and operated Hunter Douglas dealer in the U.S. Founded in 2012 by Chrissy and Jason Roellchen out of their Chicago apartment, the company has grown to eight showrooms coast to coast, built on a foundation of attentive, personalized customer service.
Chrissy Roellchen said of the acquisition, “Blinds 360 has built an excellent reputation for quality service and local expertise in White Plains, which aligns with our mission to deliver a high-touch, tailored experience to every client. We are excited to welcome their talented team and continue serving the New York market.”
